Musculoskeletal (MSK) podiatry focuses on the movement (biomechanics) of the lower limbs and associated symptoms in joint, nerve, tendon and muscle which could cause pain in feet, ankles, knees, hips and back.

MSK/Biomechanical pathologies include:
  • Foot osteoarthritis
  • Paediatric (Children) growth and development
  • Sports injuries
  • Fragility and falls risk
  • Neurological conditions
  • Achilles Tendinitis
  • Lisfranc injuries
  • Morton’s Neuromas
  • Plantar Fasciitis (heel pain)
  • Ankle instability/recurrent sprains
  • Knee/hip/lower back pain
  • Outside knee & hip pain (ilio-tibial band syndrome)
  • Hallus abducto valgus (HAV) or Bunion
  • Burning pain in the forefoot (metatarsalgia)
  • Shin splints/tired aching legs
Podiatric intervention is developed through an accurate diagnosis of the pathology accompanied by an analysis of gait and movement biomechanics relating to the complaint. From this diagnostic information a suitable treatment plan is agreed.
