Our experienced professional Podiatrists have an in-depth knowledge of Diabetes and its impact on your general health and in particular the complications which may affect your feet.

We advise regular appointments when your Podiatrist will:

  • Examine your foot shape and footwear to see if you are at risk from rubbing or pressure.
  • Check your skin for changes in colour, looking for ulcers, sores, areas of hard skin and any signs of inflammation or infection.
  • Take the pulse in each foot to check the blood flow, using a Doppler when appropriate.
  • Reduce hard skin & dry/cracked skin, cut nails and enucleate corns if present.
  • Referral for a MSK/ Biomechanical Assessment and computerised Gait Analysis if considered appropriate. Orthotics may be recommended to improve your balance and gait.
  • Ulcer and Wound Care
  • Diabetic foot education
  • At your Annual Diabetic Screening we will check the sensation and blood flow of your feet and a report, with your permission, will be forwarded to your GP.
